Sunu Wibirama serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. His primary research areas are eye-gaze tracking applications and intelligent user experience engineering. He is also interested in several related areas such as machine learning, applied computer vision, and human-computer interaction. Outside his academic routines, he works in usability testing, user experience (UX), and marketing research based on eye tracking analysis in Indonesia and South East Asian Countries.

Dr. Sunu was appointed as a research associate under JICA and Erasmus Mundus fellowship, member of IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), IEEE Consumer Electronics, IEEE Biometrics Council, and IEEE Sensors Council.  In 2015, he served as Vice Head of Academic Affairs for Undergraduate Program in Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering, UGM. In 2017, he was appointed as a Senate Member of Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada. He is an Associate Editor in Indonesian Scholar Journal. He is currently appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of ASEAN Engineering Journal for Computer and Information Engineering Section. He also serves as a technical supervisor at PT. Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI) for research in customer experience and digital media.

Dr. Sunu Wibirama has been conducting an eye-tracking-based customer experience research in Indonesia for more than 60 national and international brands of South East Asian, US, Japanese, and Europeans companies with more than 500 participants. He has been invited to investigate visibility of digital media for  various business, including transportation, cosmetics, health, kids products, food and drinks, telecommunication, and e-commerce. Based on his prior experience and through a scientific investigation, Dr. Sunu Wibirama has established a standard to measure an impact of digital advertisement based on eye tracking metrics.
